For Varsha, the path to entrepreneurship was laden with struggles, doubts, confusion and hardships. After completing her engineering degree in 2014, Varsha began to nurture her long-cherished civil service dream. She cleared the Prelims but lost out in Mains by just a few marks.

It was during this time in 2016 when Varsha started grappling with depression. Online shopping became a safe haven, allowing her to distract her mind from negative thoughts. At that time, she was in Chennai studying at Sankar’s academy. Varsha further adds “One of my hostel mates suggested that instead of buying things online, I explore the local market that offers greater variety at more reasonable rates.” This led to extensive exposure to unique fashionable accessories available in the market.

Behind every strong woman is a resilient family. When Varsha returned home, her family advised her to start a business as a means to overcome depression and channelize her energy in a positive and productive way. The gutsy entrepreneur explains “So I started going out, bought some stuff and began selling.” Thankfully, most of the items got sold within a short period and that encouraged her to carry on. Thus, the then 24-year-old girl embarked on a journey of courage and hope to establish her first startup with a modest sum of 2000 bucks.
